Telegram Broadcasts That Convert Without Spam Using Blast
How to plan, segment and write Telegram broadcasts with Replyvoo Blast so messages feel personal, get replies, and turn past chats into new sales.
A broadcast can be your best sales day of the month or the reason people block your bot. The difference isn't luck. It's who you send to, what you say and what happens when they reply.
Blast is Replyvoo's broadcast tool. It sends a message to segments of people who have already messaged your bot. And because your Closer is on the other end, every reply gets an instant, intelligent answer. That last part is what turns a broadcast into a conversation, and a conversation into a sale.

Who you can Blast
Blast only goes to people who have started a conversation with your bot. You can't import cold numbers or message strangers. That's by design:
- It respects Telegram's rules and your customers
- It protects your bot from being reported and restricted
- It keeps your audience made of people who actually showed interest
If you're tempted to buy lists or message people who never contacted you, don't. It breaks our acceptable use policy and it doesn't work anyway.
Segment first, write second
The biggest mistake in broadcasting is sending one message to everyone. Use your data. In Blast you can target segments based on what Replyvoo already knows, such as:
- HeatScore: Hot, Warm or Cold
- Stage: New, Qualified, Checkout, Won
- Channel or Closer: which bot or account they talked to
- Recency: how long since they last messaged
A few segment ideas that work:
- Warm leads, last 30 days, never bought. Offer help choosing, or a reason to act now.
- Checkout stage, didn't pay. Remind them their item is waiting and offer another way to pay.
- Won customers, bought 60+ days ago. Restock reminder, or a complementary product.
- Cold leads. A short, useful message. Not a hard sell.
Send the right message to fewer people and you'll beat the wrong message to everyone.
Write it like a person
A Blast arrives in a private chat, between messages from friends and family. It should read like a message, not a billboard.
Do:
- Open with something relevant to them
- Keep it to two to four short lines
- Give one clear reason to reply
- End with a question or a simple action
Don't:
- Use ALL CAPS or a wall of emoji
- Stack three offers in one message
- Paste long links with no context
- Pretend it's personal when it isn't ("Hey, I was just thinking of you…")
Examples
Imagine a hypothetical fashion store in Accra.
To Warm leads who asked about dresses: "Hi! New ankara dresses just landed in sizes 8 to 18. Want me to send you the 3 most popular styles? Just reply YES."
To Won customers from two months ago: "Hi again! Thanks for shopping with us. We've just restocked the matching headwraps for the dress you bought. Want to see the colours?"
To Checkout leads who didn't pay: "Hi, your order is still saved. If paying was the problem, you can now pay by card, bank transfer or mobile money. Want the link?"
Each message invites a reply. When the customer replies, your Closer (usually Ace or Echo) takes it from there, answers questions, and sends a PayLink when they're ready.
Step by step: sending a Blast
- Open Blast in the dashboard.
- Choose your audience segment.
- Check the audience size and the credit estimate.
- Write your message. Keep it short.
- Add an image if it helps (a product photo usually beats a designed banner).
- Choose which Closer handles replies. Make sure its knowledge base covers what you're promoting.
- Preview the message.
- Send now, or schedule for a good time.
Timing
Send when your customers are free to read and reply, and when you can supervise. Good rules of thumb:
- Avoid very early mornings and late nights
- Think about paydays and month end for higher-priced items
- Don't Blast right before you go offline. Watch the replies in Live Room for the first hour.

What a Blast costs
Blasts are paid with Voo Credits from your Voo Wallet: 1 credit per 10 people. A Blast to 500 people costs 50 credits. The replies that follow count as normal conversations under your plan.
You can buy credit packs from $20 for 500 credits, and turn on Auto Top-up so a big Blast never stalls. Full breakdown in Replyvoo pricing explained.
Prepare your Closer before you send
Every Blast creates a wave of replies at once. Before sending:
- Add the offer details to the Closer's knowledge: price, end date, conditions
- Make sure PayLink is on if you want sales to close in chat
- Check Smart handoff rules so tricky replies come to you
- Run three test questions about the offer in Test chat
Nothing kills a Blast faster than a Closer that doesn't know about the offer it just announced.
Respect the opt-out
Some people will reply "stop" or "not interested". Your Closer should acknowledge politely and you should exclude them from future Blasts. Add this to your knowledge base: "If someone asks to stop receiving messages, confirm politely and do not message them again unless they start a new conversation."
How often to Blast
There's no magic number. A useful test: would most of your audience be glad they got this message? If yes, send it. If you're Blasting because it's Tuesday, don't.
Watch the signals. If replies drop and stop requests rise, you're sending too often or to the wrong segment.
Measure what matters
After each Blast, check:
- Replies. Did it start conversations?
- Leads moved to Checkout. Did conversations turn into buying intent?
- Won. Did people pay?
- Stop requests. Did you annoy anyone?
Ask Juno: "How did yesterday's Blast perform and what did people ask about?" Use the answer to write the next one.
